Piper Messerly is back in the winner’s circle! The DCG Junior claimed a second consecutive Iowa High School Cross Country State Championship with a time of 17:41 to claim the Class 4A title on Saturday, November 1. Messerly also took home the crown as a sophomore in 2024.
Piper was joined in the 2025 top ten by teammate Tenley Heidgerken. Tenley clocked a 17:51 to finish 3rd place! Piper and Tenley paced the Mustangs to a 4th place finish in the team race. Click here to view the results.
The DCG Boys also ran in Fort Dodge, taking 6th place as a team. DCG was led by Graham Ibeling’s 20th place time of 15:51.
