Where did you grow up?
I grew up in Grimes. Went to DCG. Class of 2009. Football, wrestling and baseball.

DCG and Simpson College
Who is in your family?
Wife- Kelcie
Daughter- Sage
Sons- Casen and Carter
Favorite hobby outside of teaching/coaching?
I enjoy snowboarding in Colorado.
How did you get into the sport? When did you start playing?
I started wrestling in middle school. I then made the varsity lineup as a freshman and fell in love with the sport from there.
Favorite thing about coaching?
I enjoy seeing the growth in kids from year to year and seeing kids accomplish things they never thought were possible.
Favorite memory from coaching at DCG?
Beating Indianola in my first year as the head coach. Indianola’s head coach was my college coach.
Beating Norwalk two years ago in our home gym was the best environment I have ever been a part of.
Most rewarding part of being a teacher/coach at DCG?
I enjoy giving back to a community that gave me so much as a student and as an athlete.
