The DCG Dance team showed up and showed out at State Dance! On December 5th, the team competed at the ISDTA Dance Team Championships and returned with lots of accomplishments. The dance team brought four team routines to the competition and all four of the routines scored a Division 1 rating! The team performed incredibly and placed 5th in Hip Hop, 7th in Pom, 7th in Mix, and last but not least, 3rd in Jazz which is the best the team has ever placed a Jazz routine in DCG History!
They also brought home a state solo performer winner! Junior, Katie Howard, put on a fantastic solo performance to A Natural Woman by Aretha Franklin and earned herself a back-to-back state championship in Class IX. This also helped mark a 3-peat for DCG winning in the solo category! Congratulations to the DCG Dance team on a monumental trip at state and good luck to you next season!
